Commentaire: This was a much-praised and powerful revival - once again proving that many “big-scale” musicals can be adapted into smaller spaces without losing any impact, though, of course, several critics pointed out that the lack of a full orchestra does represent a considerable loss. (plus)

Presse: Charlie Sexboots
This pleasing little diversion will have you clicking your fingers and tapping your Chelsea-booted toes... swinging London wrapped up in a groovy little time capsule... songs that both swing and bite, really first rate gags... perfect little show. Critic's Choice
(Time Out)
Dark, exuberantly cynical, witty and intelligently scripted, Charlie Sexboots depicts the great British sex scandal with hard-edged and quick paced flippancy. (The Stage)
A satirical classic which is a show to die for! This is not to be missed. (Wandsworth Borough News)
Royal Variety
The brilliance of Tibbey and Sims' writing is the way they utilise the sitcom-esque, genuinely funny seaside postcard humour that we all grew up with and then spin it in to something classy, insightful and relevant to us today. Their attention to the period detail of their pieces is breathtaking - bordering on scary - and here all the gossip and tatty glamour of pre- Beatles variety passes before you...
...a fascinating and witty glimpse of a lost world that everyone can appreciate. (What's on in London)
Everyone loves me
The script is dainty and the songs are fruity - a delightful study in the sad search for fame.

Meston (Jeeves), Andrew Pepper (Gussie), Brendan Cull (Stinker), Charlotte Mills (Honoria Glossop), Jenni Maitland (Stiffy Byng), Helen George (Madeleine), Owain Rhys Davies (Bingo Little), Tim Hudson (Sir Watkyn Bassett), David Menkin
Commentaire: This was a revival of the 1996 version - now the only version authorised for performance. Kevin Trainor received acclaim for his portrayal of Bertie, and the finale with some up-to-date references to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s current activities was greeted with hilarity. However, the rest of the show did not inspire much critical enthusiasm. (plus)

Joué durant 3 semaines
Première preview: 12 October 2010 Première: 19 October 2010 Dernière: 13 November 2010
Compositeur: Laurence Mark Wythe • Parolier: Laurence Mark Wythe • Libettiste: Laurence Mark Wythe • Metteur en scène: Robert McWhir • Chorégraphe: Avec: Grant Neal (Jack), Yvette Robinson (Catherine), Jon Lee (John), Julie Atherton (Kat)
Commentaire: Originally staged at the New End Theatre in July 2006, this was a re-written version. The basic plot still involved two couples respectively about to tie and untie the marriage knot. Jack and Catherine are the older divorcing pair, and John and Kat are getting married in the morning. In the revised version, on the eve of their wedding, Kat finds out that she is pregnant. When she informs Jack, he walks out on her. Catherine and John are arguing about their divorce settlement when Adam, their 10-year-old son, disappears, causing the couple to realize that they still care for each other. The plot still ends with the two couples being the same people: John and Kat are Jack and Catherine's memories of their younger selves. Jack returns to Kat and they marry, and John and Catherine reconcile, as love conquers all. This re-written version received excellent notices. (plus)
Presse: Lyn Gardner in The Guardian said that much of the score for Tomorrow Morning was "sublime, and sublimely delivered". She gave the show three and a half stars.
Time Out London gave the show four stars and made it Critics Choice.
Michael Coveny in The Independent had less glowing praise for the show itself but pointed out Wythe's skill as a composer and lyricist and his potential for the future.
Paul Vale in The Stage called the show "thoughtful and intelligent".
Mark Shenton, in the Sunday Express described the show as "coolly adult, neatly propelled by an earnest song cycle".

Commentaire: The show had waited almost fifty years for this London premiere. The Landor is a larger space than many other fringe venues, so the decision to use actor-musicians rather than a separate band was considered to be a money-saving device rather than an artistic decision – and it was generally felt to have handicapped an already dated and clunky musical. Commentaire: In this extremely cut-down, piano-only version in a tiny theatre, clearly it would not be possible to emulate the faded grandeur of the Weisman Theatre - but it was able to emphasise every twinge of jealousy, every slipping smile and every nuance in the troubled relationships between the principal quartet of characters. Commentaire: Nine years earlier this show had flopped in the West End, with one critic wise-cracking “Excuse me, where’s the nearest Exodus?”. Commentaire: Based on Arthur Laurents’s play “The Time of the Cuckoo”, this was Richard Rodgers first show following the death of Oscar Hammerstein II. Although Sondheim was reluctant to return to writing lyrics to other people’s music, he felt this was a duty he owed the late Hammerstein. In the end it was a collaboration that did not work out, with both composer and lyricist declaring their unhappiness and general dissatisfaction with each other. However, the score ended up with some excellent and lasting songs. “Do I Hear a Waltz” opened on Broadway in March 1965 and ran for a meagre 220 performances. This was it its first professional production in London (though two concert versions and a Guildhall School of Music had been staged earlier.) (plus)

Commentaire: This fringe revival was notable for the appearance of veteran American performer, Don Fellows, together with his youngest daughter, Geòrgie. Whilst the general view was it had been cleverly adapted to the much smaller space, there was universal condemnation for the pre-recorded musical accompaniment - created by synthesisers. (plus)

Serena Giacomini. Matthew Gould, Barbara Hastings, William Wolfe Hogan, Abigail Hopkins, Anthony O’Driscoll
Commentaire: This was not a success. Following a string of “fringe” revivals, many critics were suggesting that small-scale, cut-down versions of established West End/Broadway musicals enabled the audience to concentrate more on the works themselves, and brought some interesting gains. However, not in this case. Fringe productions needed to be completely re-thought. This was just an attempt to produce West End glitz on a shoestring, and it failed. (plus)
