"To be honest, we thought it would run 18 months, then we'd spend a year in Los Angeles and six months in San Francisco" dit le producteur David Stone. Et le spectacle n'est pas prêt de s'arrêter. On va même jusqu'à penser que c'est ce musical à Chicago qui a relancé la fréquentation des théâtres et par là-même le tourisme chic dans la ville.

After Idina Menzel's three-month run she was replaced by Kerry Ellis.
Other Elphabas have included Alexia Khadime and Rachel Tucker; with Dianne Pilkington and Louise Dearman as Glindas; and Oliver Tompsett, Lewis Bradley, Lee Mead (Fiyeros), and Desmond Barrit, Sam Kelly, Clive Carter (Wizards).
