"The appealingly driven raucousness of Green Day's music and its patches of angst-y sensitivity are powerfully served by the vibrant company and instrumentalists." Paul Taylor for The Independent
"American Idiot pulses with raw energy and rage in a manner that very few shows can muster... I’ve never seen anything quite like it before, and I think that’s a compliment." Fiona Mountford for The Evening Standard

Version 3
Bernarda Alba (2011-08-Union Theatre-London)
Type de série: Original LondonThéâtre: Union Theatre (Londres - Angleterre) Durée : 3 semaines Nombre : Première Preview : Tuesday 23 August 2011Première : Thursday 25 August 2011Dernière : Saturday 17 September 2011Mise en scène : Katherine Hare • Chorégraphie : Racky Plews • Producteur : Avec : Beverley Klein (Bernarda Alba), Amelia Adams-Pearce (Adela), Suanne Braun (Servant/Prudencia), Maria Coyne (Young Maid), Soophia Foroughi (Magdalena), Emily-Jane Morris (Amelia), Ellen O'Grady (Poncia), Fiona Sinnott (Angustias), Buster Skeggs (Maria Josepha) Rebecca Trehearn (Martirio).Commentaires : This is a one-act “chamber-musical” based on the 1936 play “The House of Bernarda Alba” by Federico Garcia Lorca. It premiered off-Broadway in March 2006, winning several awards, and leading to an original cast recording. Its operatic style was a fusion of “flamenco, hand-clapping and finger-clicking punctuated with yelps, wavering sustained notes in minor keys, labyrinthine interior musical paths, and eruptions into anti-melodic harshness” . Critical reaction fell neatly into two distinct camps: those who rose to the challenge of LaChiusa’s experimentation, and those who hated his “arty gloominess”.

It was described as a “triumph” and “West-End worthy”.

Into the woods (2008-12-Upstairs at the Gatehouse-London)
Type de série: RevivalThéâtre: Upstairs at the Gatehouse (Londres - Angleterre) Durée : 1 mois 1 semaine Nombre : Première Preview : Saturday 20 December 2008Première : Tuesday 23 December 2008Dernière : Sunday 01 February 2009Mise en scène : Racky Plews • Chorégraphie : Producteur : Avec : Susan Kyd (Witch), Daniel Summers (Jack), Holly Aisbitt (Jack’s Mother), Dominic Brewer (Baker), Rachel Bingham (Baker’s Wife), Emma O’Dell (Cinderella), Lauren Appleby (Red Riding Hood), Alice Keedwell (Rapunzel/Cinderella’s Mother/Giant), Alexander Bradford (Cinderella’s Prince/Lucinda), Shimi Goodman (Rapunzel’s Prince/Wolf/Florinda), John Rogerson (Stepmother/Granny/Steward) & Paul Nicholas (Narrator on Video)Commentaires : The four-strong band was supplemented on stage with an instrument-wielding cast; Cinderella’s sisters were played in drag (as in the pantomime tradition) and also doubled as extremely camp Princes. The Narrator was played on a video screen by a pre-recorded Paul Nicholas. With a number of innovations and a definite pantomime feel, this production was given a very mixed reception.

During the run there was a regular change of narrators.
