Okai • Chorégraphie : Omar F. Okai • Producteur : Avec : Phineas Pett (Richard Mansfield), Gemma Salter (Rosie Walker), Stephanie Hampton (Mary Kelly), Stephen Lloyd (John Beck), Steph Parry (Josephine Butler, Mrs Fozzard), Craig Vincent Power (General Booth, etc), Vlach Aston (Merriweather Sim/Inspector Abberline), Matthew Ibbotson (Jack Pizer, etc), Angeline Bell, Stacey V. Bland, Dudley Rogers.Commentaires : The musical was criticised for its indeterminate style: is it a thriller? or a social commentary on prostitution? Or a satire about the media? a romance? or a black comedy? It was described as a mish-mash of intentions. The score included some reworked versions of established music hall songs, and with considerable doubling among the cast, the show was diffuse and sometimes confusing.
Version 2
Elegies for Angels … (2010-08-Shaw Theatre-London)
Type de série: RevivalThéâtre: Shaw Theatre (Londres - Angleterre) Durée : 2 semaines Nombre : Première Preview : Tuesday 10 August 2010Première : Thursday 12 August 2010Dernière : Saturday 28 August 2010Mise en scène : John-Jackosn Almond • Chorégraphie : Omar F. Okai • Producteur : Avec : Miguel Brown, Jonathan Hellyer, Titti La Camp, Leon Lopez, Anna Mateo, West End Gospel ChoirCommentaires : Following significant progress in AIDS treatment since this piece was written, a new speech had been added to highlight the dangers of greeting such medical advances with complacency. Other updates included an attack on the pronouncements of current South African political leaders. However, the show was now felt to be outdated in its message and its format. It had simply lost its edge.

However, there was much praise for Clare Burt as Fosca.
Version 4
Remains of the day (The) (2010-09-Union Theatre-London)
Type de série: OriginalThéâtre: Union Theatre (Londres - Angleterre) Durée : 3 semaines Nombre : Première Preview : Wednesday 01 September 2010Première : Thursday 02 September 2010Dernière : Saturday 25 September 2010Mise en scène : Omar F. Okai • Chris Loveless • Chorégraphie : Producteur : Avec : Stephen Rashbrook (Stevens), Lucy Bradshaw (Miss Kenton), Alan Vicary (Lord Darlington), Dudley Rogers (Stevens Senior), Reuben Kaye (Mr Farraday), Christopher Bartlett, Adrian Beaumont, Hannah Bingham, Sophie Jugé, Gemma Salter, Katia Sartini, Paul Tate, Leejay Townsend, Rebecca Whitbread.Presse : “A sophisticated piece of musical theatre…” Evening Standard
“Rashbrook gives a marvellously restrained performance that hints at the unexplored depths of Stevens’s soul and he and Bradshaw, plus a top-notch ensemble, make easy work of the songs, many of which have a solemn and hymn-like feel. It’s not all gloom, though, with the frothy music hall number The End of the Pier to lighten the mood. A canny West End producer could do far worse than to tweak this fine show for a transfer” Fiona Mountford, Evening Standard
“Bradshaw is utterly sublime as the strong-minded housekeeper” The Stage
“A combination of dramatic dialogue, singing, and dancing brought the characters to life with an emotional subtlety that bewitched the audience in the Union Theatre” Extra Extra
"The songs are almost always well-integrated, intelligently written, and subtly performed. Although Loveless’ adaptation does not quite pack what we feel is its potential punch, it does suggest a wealth of potential" Whatsonstage.com
“It is therefore this skillful blend of all the essential elements that means The Remains of the day tugs at the heartstrings with such strength that one wishes this was staged in a larger space, with more people able to experience it. **** ” RemoteGoat
“Loveless has created a musical that celebrates the individuality of each character, as proved by the memorable scenes between Bradshaw and Rashbrook.” Spoonfed
