Commentaires : The Gershwin satire opened in December 1931 and ran for 441 performances - one of the biggest Broadway hits of the 1930s - and won a Pulitzer Prize. In 1998 (the Gershwin Centenary Year) Opera North staged the British premiere in a touring production. This Bridewell production was its London debut.
