Commentaires : One of Harold Pinter’s best-known plays, Betrayal was first played in 1978.
Betrayal was first produced at the National Theatre in 1978, directed by Peter Hall and starring Penelope Wilton, Michael Gambon and Daniel Massey. It has also been seen at the Almeida Theatre in 1991, with a cast including Bill Nighy, Martin Shaw and Cheryl Campbell directed by Trevor Nunn.
The play was last seen in the West End at the Comedy Theatre (later renamed the Harold Pinter Theatre in the playwright’s honour) in 2011, where Ian Rickson’s production starred Kristin Scott Thomas, Douglas Henshall and Ben Miles.
