Version 2
Sitting pretty (Vers. Sherwin) (1939-08-Princes Theatre-London)
Type de série: OriginalThéâtre: Shaftesbury Theatre (Londres - Angleterre) Durée : Nombre : 15 représentationsPremière Preview : Thursday 17 August 1939Première : Thursday 17 August 1939Dernière : InconnuMise en scène : Herbert Bryan • Chorégraphie : Jack Donohue • Producteur : Avec : Sydney Howard (Wilberforcej, Arthur Riscoe (Jeremiah), Vera Pearce (Clementina Tuttle), Patricia Burke (Mary Pugh), Jack Donohue (Jimmy Gay), Guy Fane (Mr Pugh)Commentaires : This was as a kind of successor to “Wild Oats” - which had been the hit show of the previous year at the Prince’s – using the same three stars with the same kind of story in its revue form - three comic performers and a series of vaguely related comedy sketches . It looked as if it would settle down to be another hit for the trio, but it was forced to close after its second week because of the outbreak of war. It was not revived.
Version 3
Wild Oats (1938-04-Princes Theatre-London)
Type de série: OriginalThéâtre: Shaftesbury Theatre (Londres - Angleterre) Durée : Nombre : 260 représentationsPremière Preview : Wednesday 13 April 1938Première : Wednesday 13 April 1938Dernière : InconnuMise en scène : Herbert Bryan • Chorégraphie : Jack Donohue • Producteur : Avec : Sydney Howard (Samuel), Arthur Riscoe (Willie), Vera Pearce (Maria Cloppit), Josephine Houston (Vivienne), Jack Donohue (Val), Frances Marsden (Vicky)Commentaires : This was as much a revue as a musical - with three comic performers and a series of sketches staged in different countries and different settings. It was, however, very popular, running seven months in town before undertaking a successful provincial tour.
